Essential Oil

Essential Oils

Just like the embedded crystal usage at Soulful Being, we can also incorporate nature's healing gift of Essential Oils.
Essential oils embody the regenerating, protective and immune-strengthening properties of plants, natures medicine.

Oils have been used since ancient times as an effective, safe, simple and natural method for managing a range of health conditions, helping to improve wellbeing and quality of life.

Benefits

Usage

Oils are an incredible natural source of support for the mind, body and soul.  They are also a wellbeing ally to help you live a low-tox lifestyle for you, your family, and for our earth - reducing waste,  production and consumption of plastics and synthetic chemicals.  There are so many ways they can benefit, all beings, here are just a few:

  • Promoting relaxation - used aromatically.

  • Tendency to have high frequencies (ranging from 52 MHz to 320 MHz) that can help restore balance and harmony - no surprises that Soulful Being incorporates their use!

  • The frequencies of some common essential oils:

    • Frankincense: 147 MHz

    • Lavender: 118 MHz

    • Chamomile: 105 MHz

    • Juniper 98 MHz

    • Peppermint: 78 MHz

  • Calm tension and nerves

  • Uplift mood

  • Improve emotional health

  • Support muscle and joint function

  • Increase positive feelings

  • Help decrease stress

  • Purify body’s systems

  • Provide antioxidants - neutralising free radicals

There are many ways that essential oils can be used, they are highly concentrative and potent,  as such they need to be carefully applied  to ensure they are safely applied to enjoy their healing beneficial properties.

Aromatically
  • The most delicious way of all to enjoy oils is through inhaling their aromas

  • Our sense of smell is processed with limbic system, and is our fastest sense, taking less than 60 seconds, making it the most rapid and direct contact with memory and emotions.

  • Some simple ways you can breathe the oils in:

    • Inhale directly from the bottle.

    • Rub a couple of drops into your palms, tissue or cloth and inhale.

    • Diffuser and allow the natural fragrance to circulate a room.

    • On cotton wool and placed near an air vent.

Topically

  • The process of placing an essential oil directly on the skin, using a diluting carrier oil (like fractionated coconut oil or jojoba) given their potency to avoid skin irritations.

  • Direct application through certain parts of the body that absorb more efficiently like the soles of the feet.

  • Many ways to apply directly:

    • Massage.

    • In bath or shower steamers.

    • Reflexology & acupressure points.

    •  Compress with water and towel.

    • Natural/homemade skincare balms, serums and butters.

Low tox options

Beautiful blends

If you are looking for ways to reduce the synthetic chemicals in your life, your family's life, then this is where the adventure begins.  For me, it started as I searched for reasons causing my health conditions, and I slowly and systematically reduced the synthetic chemicals in my diet, my skincare, and even haircare (this was when I stopped dyeing my hair and embraced the silver fox within!).

This is no overnight transformation, it has literally taken me years to make these adjustments - when you first become aware of all the unnecessary use of processed products, it is overwhelming and daunting - once I saw the amount of plastic around my house, I couldn't stop seeing it!

Some of the many ventures I have taken and shared with others include:

  • Soap making including shampoo and conditioner bars

  • Body balms and butters

  • "Purefumes" instead of perfume

  • Cleaning products in the bathroom, laundry and kitchen

  • Looking after your plants

Keep an eye out for upcoming classes, and my blog, where I share stories and real life demonstrations of how I have slowly adopted them into my family life.

There are literally hundreds of ways to create a blend for many different purposes from soothing aches and pains to a sleepy blend you can drop on your pillow.
